CATALOG DESCRIPTION
Introduction to the use of computers for programming, and software. Topics include MATLAB syntax and programming techniques, algorithm design, programming with Excel spreadsheets, introduction to matrices, and regression and interpolation.
PREREQUISITES: Grade of C or better in MATH 1700

MATLAB Options:

Can run online using MATLAB Online (runs in browser, but requires student license)
Microsoft Excel is available in computer labs and with Microsoft Office 365
GRADING
Assignments: 25% (lowest assignment grade, except final comprehensive assignment, to be disregarded in computing final grade)
Exams: 75% (three mid-term exams, 25% each)
There will be no exam during finals week.

A+ = 98-100, A = 93-98, A- = 90-93
B+ = 87-90, B = 83-87, B- = 80-83
C+ = 77-80, C = 73-77, C- = 70-73
D+ = 67-70, D = 63-67, D- = 60-63
F < 60
LATE POLICY
Assignments may be submitted up to one week after the official due date to receive a maximum of 50 % of credit for the assignment. No credit will be given for assignments submitted more than one week after the official due date.

Exam 3 - Week of December 7th
Exams must be taken in person during your regularly scheduled laboratory period that week.
