7.     Faghri, A, and Zhang, Y., Fundamentals of Multiphase Heat Transfer and Flow, ISBN 978-3-030-22136-2, Springer Nature Switzerland AG, 2020.

This textbook presents a modern treatment of heat and mass transfer in the context of all types of multiphase flows with possibility of phase-changes among solid, liquid and vapor. It serves equally as a textbook for undergraduate senior and graduate students in a wide variety of engineering disciplines including mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, material science and engineering, nuclear engineering, biomedical engineering, and environmental engineering. Multiphase Heat Transfer and Flow can also be used to teach contemporary and novel applications of heat and mass transfer. Concepts are reinforced with numerous examples and end-of-chapter problems. A solutions manual and PowerPoint presentation are available to instructors.

6.     Zhang, Y., Heat Pipes: Design, Applications and Technology, ISBN: 978-1-53613-908-2, Nova Science Publishers, Inc., Hauppauge, NY, 2018.

Heat pipes are efficient passive devices that can transfer large amounts of heat over long distances with small temperature differences between the heat sources and sinks by evaporation and condensation of the working fluid. Heat can be transferred without the use of any mechanically moving parts such as pumps and active controls in heat pipes. Heat pipe can find its applications in many sectors of industries, including electronics cooling, energy systems, spacecraft thermal control, permafrost cooling, and manufacturing. This book presents current research and development related to the design, applications and technology of various heat pipes, including convention heat pipes and thermosyphon, pulsating heat pipes, loop heat pipes, and variable conductance heat pipes. Design tools based on computational fluid dynamics simulation and HSHPTM (Heat Sink-Heat Pipe Thermal Module) software are also presented.

5.      Zhang, Y., and He, Y.L., Multiscale Thermal Transport in Energy Systems, ISBN: 978-1-63485-692-8, Nova Science Publishers, Inc., Hauppauge, NY, 2016.

During energy utilization and conversion, thermal energy is either an intermedia product or a byproduct; thermal transport plays a critical role on efficiency, reliability, and safety of the energy systems. Recent development in nanotechnologies enabled significant improvement of the performances of the thermal energy storage, fuel cell, battery and thermoelectric devices. To meet the ever increasing challenges posted by energy systems, innovative and transformative measures must be taken to significantly improve the performance of these devices. Such measures will not be possible without thorough understanding of thermal transport at molecular, nano- and microscale levels because physical phenomena occurring at molecular, nano- and microscale will have profound effects on the performance at the system level. Understanding of multiscale thermal transport in the energy system is essential to improve their performance.

4.      Zhang, Y., Femtosecond Lasers: New Research, ISBN: 978-1-62948-059-6, Nova Science Publishers, Inc., Hauppauge, NY, 2013.

This book presents new research related to femtosecond laser ablation, coherent control, electronic and thermal processes, coloring, nanoscale heat transfer, and corneal refractive surgery. With the processing power carried by each pulse entering petawatts (1015W) in less than 100 femtoseconds, femtosecond lasers can remove virtually any type of material in a few picoseconds while confining the process zone to within tens of nanometers. The result is clean cuts, strong welds, and precision destruction of small targets such as cancer cells with no injury to surrounding materials.

3.   Zhang, Y.,  Nanofluids: Research, Development and Applications,  ISBN: 978-1-62618-165-6, Nova Science Publishers, Inc., Hauppauge, NY, 2013.

This book presents current research related to the synthesis, characterization, and heat transfer of nanofluids. The special properties of nanomaterials and their interactions with base fluids lead to substantially different properties of nanofluids compared with that of base fluids. Significant physical insights into complex physical phenomena in nanofluids are gained via the utilization of advanced theoretical tools and state-of-the-art experimental measurement techniques.
